SELL YOUR BOAT
We are always looking for new listings and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your current boat in more detail and offer a free market appraisal. As members of ABYA (Association of Brokers & Yacht Agents), the British Marine Federation and BRBA (Boat Retailers and Brokers Association) we are all well placed to draw on our many years experience to give good service in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
OUR SERVICE TO YOU…
We aim to find you a buyer in the shortest possible time, and include the following services in the sales process:
Client Account – for the security of both the vendor and purchaser. As an ABYA member we have set up a secure account that holds client monies in trust which does not form part of the Broker’s own accounts.
We provide standard ABYA documents for the sale/purchase and listing of boats.
As an ABYA member we hold Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance.
As an ABYA member we work to the ABYA Code of Practice.
As an ABYA member we operate a Customers Warehousing Scheme allowing us to offer ex-VAT boats for sale in the UK.
The Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents (ABYA) exists to promote the highest standards of professionalism and expert knowledge in the field of yacht sales, and expects high standards of its members. Membership is only open to existing practising brokers and new boat sales personnel with a proven track record in the industry. For all grades of membership there is rigorous scrutiny of the applicant’s work. A Continuous Professional Development scheme exists to ensure that members update their knowledge regularly, and Members’ work is monitored on a regular basis. The Associations holds regular training Seminars and Forums in house and maintains close contact with other professionals in the marine industry such as Law firms and Insurance houses, many of whom are “partners” to the Association. All members are required to carry Professional Indemnity insurance.
